Manage matters seamlessly

Upload a document and Squire builds the matter for you - then keep everything organised across tasks, documents, people, and AI chat in one place.

A matter in Squire is more than a folder. It is a live workspace that connects your documents, tasks, team, and AI in one place. You can create one from scratch or let Squire read a document and build it for you - extracting the title, parties, case number, jurisdiction, and deadlines automatically.

How it works

  1. 1

    Create from a document

Go to Create Matter and choose Upload Documents. Drop in a PDF, Word file, or image - Squire reads it and fills in the matter title, case number, area of law, jurisdiction, and a plain-language description. You review and confirm, then the matter is open.

  2. 2

    Work across tabs

Every matter has six tabs. Overview shows a brief, outstanding tasks, and key details. Tasks tracks deadlines and action items. Knowledge holds your documents and notes. People manages your team and any outside collaborators. Tables lets you run AI queries across all documents at once. Ask Squire opens an AI chat with full context of everything in the matter.

  3. 3

    Draft, extract, and export

From the Knowledge tab, add documents, create a new draft, or pull text from an existing file. Ask Squire to draft a parenting plan, a demand letter, or any other document - then download it as a Word file in your firm's house style.
