One repository for every contract - drafted in Squire™ or imported as a pile of PDFs - with lifecycle tracking, approvals, and renewal reminders.
Contracts now live in Squire™ as first-class records - not just files in a folder. Every contract has a lifecycle from draft to renewal, key dates that drive reminders, parties, documents, and an approval trail. Whether you draft in Squire™ or inherit a pile of signed PDFs, it all lands in one searchable repository at /contracts.
Draft and negotiate in Squire™ as usual - redlines, Word review mode, guest collaborators. When it's contract-shaped, click Create contract in the drafting menu. The record tracks the deal from there: submit it for approval, record the signed copy, and it goes active with its dates scheduled.
Drop your executed contracts on the Import page. Each file becomes a record, and Squire™ AI reads the document to extract the parties, key dates, value, governing law, and renewal terms - every value with the source quote it came from.
You confirm what the AI extracted
Imported contracts land in a review queue. Each extracted value is shown next to the exact wording it came from, and nothing the AI extracted drives a reminder until a person confirms it. A wrong expiry date is the one mistake a contract system can't make - so the review step can't be skipped.
Approvals, in order
Send a contract to the right people in the right order. Each approver is notified when it's their turn - in-app and by email - and the whole chain is recorded on the contract. Your own queue lives at My Approvals.
Signing happens here too
Send the contract for signature straight from its Documents tab - your counterparty signs in the browser with no Squire™ account, and the signed copy comes back onto the record with a completion certificate. See e-signature for how it works and exactly what kind of signature it produces. Wet-ink and counterparty-papered deals can still be recorded by hand.
Renewals take care of themselves
Expiry reviews and renewal-notice deadlines become todos on the matter, and Squire™ emails reminders as they approach - 14, 7, and 1 day out. Auto-renewing contracts roll their dates forward automatically, and expiring contracts can drive your own workflow automations.
Filter the repository by status, type, counterparty, or "expiring in the next 90 days". Ask Squire™ AI about your contracts in any chat. And for portfolio questions - "what's the assignment clause across these thirty NDAs?" - the Contract repository table template extracts answers across every contract at once, with citations.
