Drafting in Squire is a conversation and a document side by side. The assistant writes and revises the parts you ask it to - a clause, a section, a redline - while you keep editing directly and stay in control of every change.

How it works

    Start a draft

    Begin a blank draft, start from a template, or ask the assistant in chat to "draft an NDA" or "write a demand letter" - it opens a drafting session and carries across the research you've already done.

    Edit together

    Ask the AI to replace a section, insert a clause, or propose redlines you can accept or reject. Type your own changes whenever you like. Anything hard to undo asks you to confirm first.

    Version and export

    Every change is saved automatically. Name a snapshot like "Before client review", restore an earlier version, or compare two side by side. Export to Word or Markdown - clean, or with your redlines as Word track changes - in your firm's house style.

    A lawyer asks the drafting chat to cap liability in clause 7; Squire proposes two redlines, shown struck through and underlined in the document and listed with reasons in the Redlines panel, and the draft changes only when the lawyer clicks Accept on one.

Your house style

  • Font, spacing, heading case, and list numbering applied for you
  • Set firm-wide and personal defaults; override on any single draft
